My Journey as a painter

Today is June 11, 2019, and for me, it's an important date. It has special meanings because it officially marks the day when I return to the artist fold after spending 20 years in marketing technology. My Art Gallery went live a few hours ago and am so thrilled about the opportunity to share my art with all of you and hopefully, deliver inspiring messages and art that you will enjoy.

I"m a self-taught painter and would describe my style as a "California expressionist painter." Using deconstructed form born out of the expressionist movement, bold paint brush and contrasting hues of colors, I aim to imbue each brushstroke with meaning to evoke moods, my emotions, and ideas.

Nothing has ever fulfilled my need for self-expression, the way painting does.”I've started as an acrylic painter but now only use oil paints. I love the blending, and "buttery" feel to oil, and surprisingly to many, I enjoy how slowly the paints dry. It's an outlet that takes time, and in this busy and rushed world of instant gratification, painting brings me back to my core. It slows me down.

When I paint, I go into a trance; it's meditative, even spiritual often joyful, sometimes heartwrenching but always close to my heart.

Thank you for joining me on this journey. And remember, I accept art commissions. I would love to hear back from you. Don't hesitate to contact me.
